October 34th, 2020- I’m really starting to think the Things have no goals, no self determination, no care for anything- just a drive to continue on with their shambling mimicry of the real world- or at least what I once perceived as the real world.
They don’t reproduce any single detail with accuracy and yet, the horrible smudge of the world they’ve cobbled together seems to basically function as mine did.
I’m starting to forget things now, but they seem to care a great deal about the accuracy of flags, important documents, money and a random assortment of common household products I can’t really see any pattern to.
Faces.. they care about those too but it’s awful to see them inflate those whitered heads like balloons when they stare unblinking at each other, bobbingnaround almost nose to nose.
I can barely look in mirrors anymore… I feel like I can see it, a split second too slow for my eyes- the last moment of my skin tightening- expanding into the face I once called my own.

For some reason the other night I was thinking about the movie ‘They Live’ and drew this up.
I was reading a book about horror paperbacks which probably helped, but I think it’s probably the pervasive atmosphere of the American election clouding the skies, so let’s just say this is somehow very cutting, smart, political commentary.
